APP Manager

The Manager will oversee 3 students living in a house in our Advanced Placement Program. You will be responsible for support staff providing care for adults with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). The APP Manager assures the proper development and implements the training programs and activities that comprise the Individual Support Plan of each client. The APP Manager assures compliance with SLLEA policies and procedures and government regulations at all times. In addition to other duties as assigned.


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or combination of equivalent education and experience

  • Ability to pass background check

  • Case Management Skills

  • Ability to implement person-centered approaches in a wide variety of settings

  • At least 2 years supervisory experience

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license with a driving record and auto insurance policy that meets state requirements

  • Able to maintain accurate and detailed records

  • Must have good interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Be proficient in computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly

  • Be able to prioritize and delegate tasks to staff accordingly

  • Ensure that all SLLEA health & safety polices, procedures and trainings are implemented in a timely manner

  • Maintain confidentiality and familiar with HIPPA laws and MARDD trainings

  • Have valid First Aid/CPR certifications or ability to obtain within the first 30 days

  • Adhere to county and state regulations

  • Remain knowledgeable and updated on trends and issues relating to persons with disabilities

  • Exhibit sensitivity and respect for different cultural needs and perspectives among coworkers and others
